I enjoy hearing about the innovative approaches people come up with to satisfy a problem and make the planet a better place. That is undoubtedly the case in Rjukan, Norway. Many thanks to NPR.org for introducing me to Sam Eyde.Rjukan, which is about 70 miles west of Oslo, and features about 3,500 people, all of whom would like far more sunlight in their city during the cold and dim winter season. 100 years in the past Eyde, one of the founders of Rjukan, was motivated by Archimedes
